Drag the solid ray counterclockwise to add degrees; turn clockwise to subtract. Every crossing of 0° keeps your accumulated turns. Keyboard: arrows ±1°, Shift + arrows ±15°, Page Up/Down ±360°, Home 0°.

Dashed ray: target direction. Solid ray: your estimate. Full turns are counted in the number above, even when the rays overlap.

How to read a multi-turn angle

Split the target into full 360° turns plus a remaining direction. Start from the right-pointing ray and rotate counterclockwise. For 450°, make one full turn, then another quarter-turn. For 810°, make two full turns, then a quarter-turn.

Why does the ray overlap the target but the score stay low?

The drawing shows direction; the numerical total shows full turns too. Friday uses the absolute difference between those totals. Switch to Normal in the tool and the same two overlapping rays become equivalent directions.

What happens when I cross 0°?

Dragging across the right side unwraps the movement. A small counterclockwise move from 359° to 1° adds 2° to the accumulated angle. Going clockwise subtracts instead. Use the ±360° buttons for a whole-turn adjustment, or enter a precise number directly.

Read the full Angle guide for gameplay controls. See the Friday guide for changes to all five tests. The dial here is an independent explanation tool; it does not control the original game.
