How to play Estimatle
- Read the question and check the chosen unit. Select Metric or US units if that helps you estimate.
- Move the slider to a plausible answer. Use its adjustment buttons or the arrow keys to refine the estimate by individual steps.
- Press Lock it in once ready. Read the reference answer, source and feedback, then use Next up to continue to the next question.
Controls: Slider, adjustment buttons or keyboard arrows.
Sound: Sound is not needed to read and answer a question.

What your Estimatle result means
The published instructions award up to 100 points per question and deduct one point for each slider step between your estimate and the reference. A step is defined by that question’s scale, so a ten-unit miss in one question need not mean the same thing in another.
What to look at after a guess
First compare your chosen unit with the answer unit, then inspect the distance on the slider. Being ten steps away gives 90 points under the stated rules. Use the linked source to learn the reference rather than treating a numerical miss as a measure of perceptual ability. Playing as a guest creates anonymous progress on that service; Google sign-in is offered for keeping progress across devices, rather than being required before the first question.
Common mistakes and what to try
Estimating in the wrong unit
A sensible estimate in miles is wrong on a kilometer scale. Check the unit before making a fine adjustment.
Confusing units with slider steps
The score counts steps on the current question. Read the scale rather than assuming every point on the slider is one physical unit.
Looking for a flashed picture to remember
The main task is answering a numerical question. Choose a visual game such as Area Balance when you want to judge a shape directly.
How is Estimatle like Perceptle?
Choose it when you enjoy committing to an approximate number and adjusting it before submitting.
The question and unit provide the evidence. This is general-knowledge estimation, rather than recalling how many dots flashed on screen.
